About Eagle Creek ES3 Traverse Pro 19 Rolling Upright with Daypack
"This is just the bag I need to carry on board the plane. Enough space for a weekends stuff. It's just as well constructed as it was 30 years ago when I leant my Eagle Creek with backpack attached to my son. He never returned it. Now, I have my own once again! It is extremely well thought out including the way one can now slip a lock into the zipper tabs with interlocking loops. Love it and I know it will get a lot of use."

Good Idea, good quality but not exactly for me
By: Geoffrey Davis from Florida on September 7, 2011
"I needed a new roll-on for short trips. I use a backpack already and thought the idea of a roll on with attached back pack would be good for me.
I ended up sending this back to LuggageBase because of the following:
1. "Day pack" is relatively small. I carry a small netbook computer plus other items including a water bottle. The "Day pack" has no pocket for a water bottle and there are not enough pockets compared to my regular back pack. Again, this is a "day pack" and not a "back pack" so it is smaller but just not big enough for me. It would hold the computer and some documents without any problems.
2. Suit case portion opens with a hinge on the bottom as opposed to the side. I found this rather awkward to use. This is probably more of a personal preference.
Overall, the quality of the materials used is excellent. We have owned two Eagle Creek full size suitcacses (ES series) for several years and found them excellent and the service from Eagle Creek perfect.
I will be ordering a regular Eagle Creek roll-on from LuggageBase to replace this unit with the attached day pack.
Again, this is a great product as long as you understand that the "day pack" is limited in carrying capacity."

Great bag for a week long vacation
By: Amy from Morristown NJ on June 9, 2011
"I love this bag! My husband & kids bought it for me for Mother's Day, and it is perfect. I took it on vacation for a week, fit everything that I needed, as well as enough room for a few presents that I brought back with me. Easy to wheel, lots of useful pockets. The backpack is comfortable on my back with my laptop in, and fits well under the seat in front of me on the plane, with the larger case in the overhead bin. No more checked luggage fees for me!"

Sweet luggage!
By: Mary from Kirkland,Wa on May 28, 2011
"I was looking for a replacement for my well worn Tumi roller board and saw this model written up as worth a look. This was an excellent and versatile choice for business and pleasure travel. It's lightweight, love the zip off backpack with smart laptop sleeve for security. Liked it so much my husband is replacing his worn luggage with this very same model."

Airport Friendly
By: Douglas Watt from Hamilton NJ on November 16, 2011
"My computer no longer needs to be placed in a bin when clearing TSA security. A TSA employee looked at my case, smiled, and said "You've got Airport Friendly Luggage!" I said, That's why I bought it."
I fly in some small Canada Regional Jets with small overhead bins. Zipping the backpack off lets me stow both pieces easily. Designing the backpack to slide over the telescoping handle keeps the load balanced and the rollers minimize the load on YOU.
I use the case to hold my hard hat and steel-toed work boots.
The computer, battery charger, mouse, cell phone, GPS, work documents, and trip itinerary go in the backpack. The backpack expands beyond rated dimensions.
This is the best carry-on piece of luggage that I have owned. A 5-Star rating doesn't do it justice, the case is truly exceptional."

Perfect Carry-on for frequent traveler.
By: John TYsantes from CA on March 19, 2012
"I purchased this Daypack for my wife who travels 6-8 times a year to Europe and to other parts of the US to visit family. She normally would get on the plane with 3 or 4 smaller bags that she'd stuff into a backpack along with her computer bag. That made for a very heavy load to carry. Making things worse, it was always a chore trying to find and remove needed items from the overhead compartment. This daypack was perfect for her needs. She can stuff the zippered Daypack with computer, snack items, water, headphones, etc that she'd need for the flight, put it under the seat in front of her and leave the rest of her non-essential carry-on things in the rolling upright. And when she gets off the plane, she has one small rolling carry-on the drag behind her with no stress on the back. This is the perfect travel companion when you need more than a small travel back for a flight."
